Developing an Understanding of the Curriculum and Recognising the Implications this has for Teachers
Taylor O'Leary - Personal Development Activities - Week 1
From what I gather after exploring the Australian Curriculum readings (ACARA), Technologies involves two important skills:
By breaking the strands down into a table and showing how these can be applied to the two strands of Technologies, it clarifies, that as a future educator, the implications for me include:
- Utilising the flexibility of the Australian Curriculum to assess students and personalise learning plans based on the students' individual skill levels
- provide students with frequent feedback of their progress to inform their learning
- Combine aspects of the strands within a subject in different ways to provide students with learning experiences that meet their needs and interests
- Recognising that this subject can be implemented between other learning areas - a 'hitting two birds with one stone' kind of approach
Verbs associated with the curriculum and what this means for me as a future educator!
Tagxedo Word Cloud
This is the very first time I have used a word cloud generator - I will definitely be using this again to better my own learning and the potential students I will have in future. To be put on the spot and having to think about what words relate best to the topic you are looking at is an efficient way to document important terms and visually summarise what you have just learned.
